I bought 4 chairs last year, but 1 chair had improperly glued legs that bent far more than the other three chairs. I had to buy one chair as a replacement for that previous chair. The chairs look good and are easy to put together. You will need to reglue or replace the felt pads at the bottom of the legs because they will come off. They use a non-hardening glue and after a while the pads just slide off. I superglued them back on.I wish I could give 4-1/2 stars. The only ding I give the product is, like another reviewer mentioned, the veneer has a badly seamed area on the back of one of my six chairs. It's on the winged edge so you don't see it too much. By putting the chair against the wall no one but me will know it's there. They are gorgeous. I love them. I've been a big fan of the Cherner chair for years. It's as close to the real deal as I'm likely to ever get and I'm very happy with it. They are sturdy. Also, maybe half an inch taller than advertised which was a welcome surprise. The price is unbeatable. The chairs were delivered before I got the email saying they'd been sent. That's a first! Very easy to put together. An entirely great experience.I purchased these chairs for my rental unit in Palm Springs. 3 weeks ago my guest was dining and shifted the chair to move closer to the dining table and the chair broken from under her. See attached photos, the base where the legs attached to are held by very small screws and nails that do not attached securely. I contacted the company about this about a week ago and have not heard back from them. Both The manufacture and Amazon have done virtually nothing to resolve my issue. I explained to both that had she injured herself they would be dealing with a law suit as opposed to providing a refund. My guest refuses to sit on the remaining chairs given the poor quality, so now I have to purchase a whole set of 4 dining chair from a retailer that sells better quality furniture. These chairs worked fine for a bit, and they're pretty (not especially comfortable, though). But within the space of a few days -- just after the 30 day return window from Amazon had closed -- they both broke, in the same spot. As you can see, the legs spread out and split from the seat. Neither person sitting in these chairs was over 200 pounds, and one was under 150. Yes that's right, one of these chairs broke under about 140 pounds of weight. So they're garbage. Maybe if you have carpet the legs won't spread out like that (or maybe if you put rubber feet on them?) But still, who wants to pay $85 a pop on chairs that you have to use on carpet to avoid that moment when you hear the chair cracking beneath you and it's too late to do anything but wait for impact?Well, my husband didn't get hurt, luckily, but he could have. He's a svelte guy and was just sitting normally when the chair disintegrated beneath him during our annual Holiday party. I'm so grateful he was on it instead of any of our neighbors. Don't buy this hazardous chair! It's not even worth one star since it's unusable but the review wouldn't let me pick no stars.Really nice looking and sturdy chair. Also, the chair is super easy to assemble. One of my chairs was missing two screws but rather than contact Seller/Amazon, I went to Home Depot and picked up the screws I needed.Decent chair but the felt foot pads fell off within 7 days.High qualityVery easy to put together. Slightly scratched here and there but only a fine eye could tell.Have not seen another knock off of this chair for such a great price. Sturdy and comfy chair. I would be interested in buying other LexMod items.
