What I received: instruction sheet with scant information, though adequate. Slide bars to hold open the leaves that were five inches too short to do the job. Besides needing to go to a lumber yard to request right sized pieces be cut, I needed to visit the hardware store to find a metal bar to hold the leaf supporting slide bar from tipping toward the floor and not holding the leaf flush. Once the slide bar issue was addressed I learned that I still need to plane the wood of the joint as when the table leaf and center of the tables wood join, they do not meet so that the leaf is perpendicular to the floor. The leaf still slope at an angle toward the floor, even once the joinging pieces are flush! Finally, the wood piece that joins the table top to the bar which was made to slide the bar that holds the leaves up, to the table top propper, has four nuts. Unfortunately the manufacturer neglected to create small wells for the nuts and washers to sink into so that the nuts, instead of lying flat with the wood surface, jutted and kept the table top from sitting flush on the pedestal. The top subsequently wobbled. I dug out wells with an exacto knife and the problem resolved. Now I must purchase a hand held wood planer to have the joints between the table top-proper and the leaves to meet flush. Even once they meet flush, the leaf slopes downward. I do not wish our guests plates to slide toward their laps, if however so gently. I did call amazon and the manufacturers, over half a dozen calls and spent more than two hours in total on the phone, trying to get help from that quarter with only two of the above issues. I was offered a partial refund, for which I am so deeply grateful. Good luck with this table!
