If you have hardwood or tile floors (as opposed to carpet), I would strongly suggest that you get Homelegend RGD58 Deluxe 5-Foot by 8-Foot Area Rug Gripper so that the carpet stays in place. While you're there, go to the local hardware store, and pick up this stuff called Double-Sided Carpet Tape. That will keep the edges of the rug from curling up, and causing you to trip while you're walking along. Or, go to the local home improvement store, and find those peel-and-stick linoleum tiles. Cut the tile into long strips, and firmly glue the strips to the edges of the carpet to prevent the curling up.Why? Because your rug /will/ curl up at the edges. If you don't have the patience to sit there and wait for it to settle out of the roll that it's shipped in (the rug is sent to your home all rolled up in a roll), this will let you use it immediately. The colour is a little darker than I would have imagined, but it looks wonderful with our light coloured wood furniture. It gives a bit of weight to the floor. Get this if you have lighter coloured walls, and a lighter coloured floor. The darker colours help to anchor the room.
