I was hesitant to purchase this rug because you never know what’s going to arrive. But I’m glad I took a chance. The rug is perfect in our homeschool room.The last rug we had was nice, but worn out and smaller. I wanted a rug that gave my children a bit more cushioned play area and this one coordinated well with our classroom space.Pros: The rug does not shed. I did vacuum it well to remove any debris and or dust prior to kids playing on it. I have a cordless Dyson Pet vac and had no problems with suctioning unlike some other rug materials that are difficult to vacuum. There were no chemical smells, snags/tears or stains. My kids were able to play with their Magna-Tiles on the rug without stability issues (this was important to me).Cons: If placing on a hard surface the rug does slip quite a bit. I solved the issue by placing rug tape underneath the four corners and it has stayed in place without any problems. Also, you may have to weigh the rug down for a few hours to straighten out any wrinkles due to the rug arriving rolled; but that is expected.Lastly, this may or may not be a con. As far as the rug’s softness it lies in the middle. I would describe the texture as medium soft. It’s just soft enough to play on, but course enough to be durable. It definitely is not shaggy soft, but that’s okay with us.I took pictures in various lighting to show how the rug translates. It is as described online. The rug I purchased was the 5x7. The price of $90 was reasonable. Would I purchase this rug again, yes!
