If you need a dining room table for a small apartment this will work well. The set is constructed from light gauge metal held together by several screws. The chairs themselves are fairly sturdy but not meant for heavy use. I would avoid using them as a step stool. The table top is sturdy enough for everyday use but not suitable to sit on.
