This desk had horrible reviews but I decided to give it a shot anyway. Huge mistake! First, what everybody else says in their reviews about assembly is absolutely true. Assembling this piece of furniture was extremely difficult due to the instructions provided (might as well have just included a picture of a thumbs up and nothing else), as well as the manufacture incorrectly putting the pre-assembled parts together. There were a few parts that could only be used a certain way but because of what the manufacturer did, those parts would’ve been upside down or backwards.Next, is the smell. I should start off by saying that I’m not sensitive to smells and I actually have a difficult time smelling anything since I had COVID. This piece of furniture smells absolutely terrible. I didn’t know what the smell was for the first few days and thought that maybe the dog had dragged in a dead animal. Nope, just this desk/ vanity. It smells either like embalming fluid or a corpse. And it’s bad, an extremely strong odor. I had to purchase odor remover packs and put them all over hoping it will help.Finally, it’s a piece of junk. Most of the hardware and pieces that arrived (other than the actual pieces of plywood) had to be replaced. Screws were stripped, drawers don’t fit together. When I try opening the top drawer, the bottom drawer is stuck to it and opens as well. The only way I can open the bottom drawer, is to place something heavy in front of the top drawer and try yanking it out.This is an absolutely horrible piece of furniture. I only kept it because we did so much damage by drilling our own holes and adding our own screws to fix the mess that the manufacturer created, that they would never take it back. This piece of furniture is not worth more than $3.50. Don’t buy, find something, ANYTHING, else! I should have listened to the reviews.So the plugs for the lights don’t fit through the nut to secure to the vanity. A little bit of rounding the corner of the plug with file and they fit. Not the quality I would have expected at this price. If I was buying another I would look elsewhereI got this as a HS graduation gift for my niece. It is easy to put together. My husband helped her assemble it in less than 40 minutes. My niece loves the lights around the mirror. It gives out a very soft glow and is very natural for makeup ?applications. The drawers are actually quite roomy. I think it serves as a great make up vanity/desk for young ladies and am actually thinking about getting another one for myself.I was super hesitant to order without any reviews but I’m so happy I did super cute & we scored free shipping. A happy purchase all around.I love this beautiful vanity!Also It’s very easy to put all together .and looks very nice in Bedroom too .Although this piece is for a small space, it is cheaply made. The wood breaks easily. Assembly was a nightmare. It took two different handymen to assemble which cost me additional money. They couldn’t believe the price I paid. This is more for a child than adult as it is easily breakable. I am disappointed in the purchase.I love it is perfectNot the right hardware. This was awful. I had to go out to buy my own screws and tools due to the items sent not lining up or matching the instructions
