I was looking for a chair mat that would work on plush wall-to-wall carpeting. I wanted something stylish, affordable, durable, and that wouldn't cause the cats to riot. That pretty much left out the typical choice of a plastic or glass chair mat. I needed exactly 3'x3' for the space. I also didn't want to spend more than $30. That was a lot of criteria to meet and I wasn't hopeful. Then this little beauty popped up in my search. I couldn't be happier! The colors pop and they pull everything in the space together, as they match or blend well with the chair, desk, and existing carpet. That, of course, is very specific to my space and so won't necessarily translate to yours. But here's what will: the quality, the design, and how close the colors are in real life to those in the photos. It's clear straight away that this carpet isn't likely to shed fibers, in spite of being rolled on frequently by my office chair. It's thick enough to work for that purpose and also for anyone looking to use it as a traditional area rug. It's very soft and feels nice underfoot. There's some curling due to being rolled, but it's relaxing just fine and should be flat very soon. Not holding out that it'll serve as a magic carpet to save on gas for my commute, but it sure seems to be working in every other way I'd hoped. If you're looking for a rug with a traditional yet modern aesthetic that'll brighten and blend your space and that's a heck of a bargain, this is it, folks.
