In terms of style and design these stools are punching far above their weight class. I read other people’s comments on the difficulty of installing the chrome footrest and I hate to say it but… wow. Almost impossible to do without scratching the atom-thin layer of spray-on wood that gives the dramatically swooping stool legs their drop dead finish. Atop the stunning retro futuristic limbs perches the seat. We chose the blue and I’m being ultra-real when I say the color looked even better than the picture on Amazon (which looked fabulous, btw). Both the color and texture of that upholstered perch are simply audacious, as is it’s perfectly curved geometry. Beware though, if you have cats then you’re going to end up watching them take over these mid century modern sentry posts. In summary: if you’re buying these for practicality and comfort… I wouldn’t know. If you’re buying them for their Barbarella schwaaag then there’s no safer direction to throw your money.
