It is always a gamble buying anything from a picture ad but I rolled the dice with this table and I must say, I am glad I did. The table is beautiful. There are no cracks or visible blemishes anywhere. All the surface slats are even and flat making it stable for even long fluted wine glasses. The mechanism to add the leaf is very basic but sturdy and works well. Once attached, the leaf does not reduce stability in any noticeable way whatsoever. We can seat eight at this table but it seats six with lots of extra room. The table came with a nice finish and accepted a coat of Teak oil well.If you are on the fence about this table I would say it is worth taking the plunge.
