We're using this in our spare bedroom. The bed is up against a wall on one side, and we have wood floors, so we placed the rug under the bed a few inches and the rest hangs out into the largest open space of the room.This helps ensure you're walking on the rug most of the time instead of the wood floor, adding a bit of comfort and warmth to the room.The design of the rug is kind of unique and happens to match our color scheme in the room. It isn't the best design - I'd say its just OK - and not something I'd want people seeing from far away as its better close up.Quality wise, its holding up well after many times running the vacuum on it, but it is a thin rug. I wouldn't put it in an area that gets a lot of foot traffic. We use thicker rugs in our living room and our master bedroom, but for the list price on this one, I think you're getting a really great deal.
