I was skeptical to purchase, but I am happy with this carpet. The combination of neutral colors work well together. The darker colors you notice in the rug are a gray mix (couldn't tell if there was black, too). The quality is great and the carpet looks rich. I will purchase a rug pad to keep it in place. I received this area rug rolled up and wrapped in plastic. I laid it on the floor immediately, with weighted objects placed on the edges, and it was flat the following day. No smell, too.
