This coffee table is very sturdy and easy to assemble. Not sure if it is authentic wood or not but is heavy and exquisite. This table is worth it for the price. Giving a 4/5 star because I had hoped for it to be a bit wider.When I opened this up, I was hit with the scent of lumber, which came as a surprise since I was fully expecting particle board wrapped in a woodlike peel-and-stick veneer for the price I paid. While it may not be made up of solid wood planks, the thickness of the actual wood used to line it gives this coffee table a level of authenticity worth something much more expensive.Just what I neededI've had the table for about 8 months now, and it is falling apart. The base screw has come off on one of the sides. I repeatedly have to re-screw the remaining screws.I'm disappointed because this is actually a great looking piece of coffee table. It's pretty clear that they copied the design from a much nicer brand and built a knockoff with lower quality. I guess you get what you paid for (and in this case less than what you paid for).It's a really nice looking table. Easy to assemble and sturdy.The only issue was the gouges in the top. The shipping box was ripped so I'm not sure if it was really a packaging or shipping issue. Contacted seller and they were very nice people. Would recommend.Item came well packaged and was so easy to put together. I managed to put it together myself. However it would be much easier with two. It appears to be durable (we've only had it for one day). Very happy with the purchase.Love this coffee table! I am slow to pull the trigger on stuff that o plan to keep for a while, but when I saw this, o put it in my cart right away. I put it together today and was not disappointed. REAL WOOD!I have been looking around for a coffee table for so long, one that was sturdy and easy to assemble - and I am so glad I found this coffee table! We put it together within minutes and it's more than I expected. So very pleased!
