In the search box on Amazon I had entered that I wanted a pair of tall lamps that were 100 watts - I did not completely understand the wattage information on this item and the lights are disppointingly not nearly as bright as the 100 watts I had wanted. Given all the craziness with light bulbs these days we were able to get a brighter bulb in these, but not the 100-watt brightness. That said, they are very nice lamps - came very well-packaged, and are light enough to do the job ok. They are at each end of a very large kitchen island and look very good. I also think that including the light bulbs with them was a nice touch by the seller, even though we had to use brighter ones. The new types of bulbs that equal 100-watt brightness have bases that are too large to fit in these lamps. I do wish it would be made more clear about what brightness these bulbs match--- whatever wattage they are supposed to match (ie, 60 watt). It would have helped.
